Our Story
Following the construction of the Bristol to Bath cycle path in the 1980’s, a cafe was established in the old waiting room at Warmley station.
In 2012 Justin and Claire bought the premises and transformed it into the marvellous establishment we see today. They preserved its history and originality whilst adding unique features including the horsebox parlour and Dr Who Tardis lavatory.
We took over in January 2019. James brings over 30 years of catering experience, having managed the catering at The Watershed, Ikea and Bristol Zoo to name just a few. Kate has recently retired from the NHS after 30 years and now helps run the cafe.
The refreshments provided all follow this independent and local approach. Our menu has firm favourites and constantly evolves to satisfy developing food trends including gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan products.
We are a dog-friendly cafe (complimentary dog treats as well as selling ice cream for dogs!) and believe it is important to keep the cafe independent for everyone to enjoy and to give it a local and individual atmosphere.
